How to Run Windows Troubleshooter (System Self-Diagnosis and Treatment)

Self-healing windows!Have a good day!

It turns out that not everyone knows that Windows has a fairly good system of self-diagnosis and “cure” (error fixes). When various problems arise (e.g. sound, network, Bluetooth, power, etc.) – you can launch the troubleshooting wizard with three mouse clicks – and after 2-3 minutes. get a working system! 👀

I warn you in advance that if the problem is Material nature (for example, the Wi-Fi adapter is broken) – then no Windows wizard will help you (unless it tells you that “such a device does not respond” … Although I do not argue not, even that can help in diagnosis).

In fact, below in the note, I’ll give some ways to run the self-diagnosis wizard in Windows (relevant for Windows 10/11).

Troubleshooter: Boot Methods

📌 Option 1

Universal way. Also, finding the right assistant is much easier than in the tab with the settings that Microsoft developers try to do instead of the control panel…

Actions in order:

  • first you need to open the control panel / control panel (combination Win + Rteam control);
  • change the display mode to “Little Icons”;
  • the link should appear in the menu “Repair” – you need to open it;
  • click on the following link “See all categories”and state your problem;
  • should start self-diagnosis assistant: it will check the basic settings, the operation of the services, etc. See some screenshots below for examples. 👇

📌 Option 2

On Windows 10:

  • hurry win + i open system settings (or use the START menu);
  • go to section “Update and Security” and open the link “additional troubleshooting tools”;
  • then select your problem from the proposed list and wait 2-3 minutes until the scan result appears…

Try clicking on the search bar (magnifying glass icon) next to the START button – then you should enter “repair” and press the button “To open” (instead of “troubleshooting” you can specify “troubleshooting options”).

📌 Variant 5

If all the previous methods did not help, try a third-party solution: the FixWin utility (link to the official site // download button at the bottom of the page).

After launching it, you need to go to the section convenience stores” and indicate the desired section (the utility is in English, but the context is very clear. You can also use special translators).
