PlayStation Plus would force developers to launch game tests

One of the main novelties of the new PlayStation Plus, in particular the Premium plan (or Deluxe in Latin America), is the possibility of accessing free game trials. However, in the absence of official information from the company, we don’t know which titles will have their own demos. Will it be only the exclusive ones or also those of third parties? Today, thanks to a leak, we have more details about it.

According to game developer, Sony will force developers to offer free trials of their games on PlayStation Plus Premium. Moreover, the test must last at least two hours. Of course, this measure will only apply to titles that meet two conditions: its price is higher than 34 dollars and it is not a virtual reality experience. In this way, practically all important games would have their demo in the renewed service – the indies They would obviously be absent.

Besides, the developers would have a maximum of three months to deliver their proof after the launch of the game. It must be available on subscription for at least one year. Finally, the report mentions that Sony is considering demonstrations with no time limit, although they will study on a case-by-case basis to find out what type of titles can opt for this alternative.

There are still details to know

Sony, and developers alike, aren’t aware of free trials. Indeed, in recent years it has been common to see that companies, especially those that offer multiplayer experiences, offer play periods of several days. Call of Duty Yes Rainbow Six: Siegefor example, they do it on some weekends to increase their player base.

If the information of game developer is correct, Sony should soon reveal more details. Because?
