One of Apple’s top analysts reveals his information about the rumored new 15-inch MacBook.

Big news awaits us soon in the Mac world and one of Apple’s top leakers, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, has just revealed some new information. There are days we have heard rumors about the possibility of Apple launching a new 15-inch MacBook Airand now Kuo not only confirms these rumors, but also assures that he will use the M2 and M2 Pro chips.

In this way, this model would be placed a notch below the MacBook Pro, unable to include the M2 Max chip, and clearly above the newly refurbished MacBook Air. Of course, it would be an interesting option and now Kuo assures that we will see it in early 2023.

Will we get a 15-inch MacBook Air?

Kuo’s New Predictions

Ming-Chi Kuo posted three predictions on his personal Twitter account for the next MacBooks Apple is working on. You disclosed your information on the new 15 inch macbook and the supposed return of the 12-inch MacBook.

  1. The new 15-inch MacBook would go into mass production in the middle of the first half of 2023, and the launch date could be the second quarter of 2023 or later.
  2. The new 15-inch MacBook can offer two processor options, M2 (with 35W adapter) and M2 Pro (with 67W adapter).
  3. I haven’t heard of any plans for the supposed 12-inch MacBook yet.

The information is interesting but leaves us with many doubts. When Apple renews the MacBook Pro, hopefully, we’ll have a rodeo. 14 inches with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chip. If we also have a MacBook Air with M2 chip and 15 inch screens, the differences will be few between the two models.

Most likely the Pro will have more ports and a better screen, but they will have the same processor and the 15-inch Air will be bigger. Of course, it won’t be an easy decision when the time comes.

How is it possible ? MacBook Air M1 price rises after new model launched

As for the 12-inch MacBook, only Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman seems to trust this device which Apple abandoned years ago due to its similarities to the iPad. They were devices of similar price and intended for the same type of users. We’ll see what’s going well in a few months.
